Fun with Ice and a Trampoline
So this weekend was WONDERFUL! Oh my, the weather was just fantastic, both kiddos have sunburnt cheeks! I thought I'd try something fun with them when they weren't expecting it so I dumped a whole container of ice cubes on the trampoline when they were on it. They had a blast LOL
Secondly, I'm soooo jealous that your neck of the woods has weather that allows SHORTS. In APRIL. Here in my neck of the woods, my kiddo went hunting for Easter Eggs in snowpants in April a few years back.
Yeah - you: shorts in April. Us: snow gear in April. Clearly, we're living in the wrong corner of the country..... :D
Looks like some serious fun was had. My girls are getting older now, and the goofy things like this are the best memories, the ones they keep bringing up.
I love taking pictures of my kids on the trampoline. You can get fun results. I like the one with the legs thrown back and the ice flying. Too bad I don't own a trampoline. I have to take at other people's houses.
You caught some high-flying fun! My kids love going to their cousins' house to jump on the trampoline, and it brings back my own childhood memories of jumping at a friend's house. My sister and I used to dream of owning our own trampoline when we would see them propped up outside stores on our drive to my grandparents. Glad you made that dream come true for your children!
"necessity is the mother of invention," huh? ;) our tramp sits in direct sun and gets very hot, so we got a cheapie rotating lawn sprinkler and set it up directly under the tramp - kids loved it! :)
That looks like so much fun, my kids would LOVE it! We don't get to use the tramp during summer here in AZ, it gets too hot! They love it the rest of the year though. They love the sprinkler under the tramp and H2O balloons (messy but fun). Fun, fun, fun!
That was a good idea. My neice was complaining about the soup I gave them the other day. I put an ice cube in it and next thing she had eaten all the soup, chasing the ice cube around as it melted.
Boy, you've got waaaaay more nerve than me, Miss Nervous Nellie;) I'd be worried about slipping...but then again I worry with them running down the stairs!!!
My husband and brother used to hang the hose from a tree branch so they could 'jump in the rain' .. I just sat and watched them. It sounded a little too much like a broken bone to me ;o)
That looks like fun!
ReplyDeletehow fun! wanna come over and be my mom for a day??? (yeah - didn't think so! guess I gotta be the grown-up)
ReplyDeletecute idea! glad it didn't melt fast enough for anyone to slip and fall! lol
What a way to keep them occupied!
ReplyDeleteNow that looks like fun. I will have to do that with our trampoline.

I love this! I use to do this when I was little! We'd play it like hot potato style where you couldn't touch any of the ice. lol fun times!
ReplyDeleteWow, makes me wish we hadn't gotten rid of our trampoline!
ReplyDeleteOoooo I know what i am doing with my siblings next time I visit.

Oh how fun! I want to go try that now. Of course I'd need a trampoline first. And apparently a pretty cool mom!
ReplyDeleteA trampoline, how cool is that? Although my drama queen and king would probably end up bonking heads and scream for their boo boo buddies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea! It looks like they loved every minute of it!!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteBut does it hurt a bit on the foot when you step on one of the ice cubes?
Ok, somehow that looks painful to me!
