Grrrr
Just a quick vent...I need a fence dammit! My yard is not fenced and for the most part my dogs will stay in the yard amazingly enough. They wander around and do their business. Kasey is 13 so she's not too energetic and Maddie being a 6 mon old puppy pretty much sticks by and torments Kasey.
But not lately....Maddie bolts out the door and looks immediately for a squirrel, jogger, biker whatever so that she can chase them. She will come back after I scream at her long enough but damn, I'm too old to be chasing them! Kasey will slowly follow Maddie as well so then it leads to me chasing Maddie then once I have her back in the house, going back and rounding up slow poke Kasey.
I have priced dog runs and that might be what I have to go with (if not just hooking them up to a
stake while they are outside) after I get my fence quote on Friday. I have a feeling it is going to be too much for me to afford. Luckily how my yard is set up, I really only need two sides of it. My house and the neighbors fence would make up the other two sides.
Here are some pictures of my lovely dogs....grrrr LOL

Over the hump
YES thank god yesterday is FINALLY OVER!!! That's all I am going to say :)
The kids and I went to our high school football game last night. It was the Bi-District game. Paola won so now they will play on Saturday in the Regional game. Good luck boys!! It was cool to see how many people came out 1) on a Tuesday and 2) on that night of all nights.
My son has decided to try wrestling...ugh. I am not a wrestling fan what so ever but this is kind of a trial. He has gone to practice this week and will get to wrestle in a match on Thursday. I secretly am hoping he gets his butt whooped and he hates it but I know in my head that he is going to love it. He talks NON STOP about it right now so maybe he will be a late bloomer and do well. I guess we will see!
I haven't been good at updating you on how the kids and I are doing in my football pick'em. As of right now through week 9 we stand like this -
Me - in a two way tie for 3rd (my brother and sister in law are 1st and 2nd)
Kyler - in 9th
Miranda - in a two way tie for 10th
Not too bad for 18 people playing!!

Already???
As I walked into the fine Wal-Mart establishment this morning I was greeted by this huge Christmas tree and signs pointing to the Christmas shop! UGHHHHH!!! I hate that they are already doing this! I kid you not, I was there less than 12 hours earlier and this stuff was NOT up! The little Wal-Mart elves were busy last night I guess. Sorry, I have a scrooge side to me that comes out often! On a brighter note, Miranda is feeling much better. I spent $20 at the doctor's yesterday to tell me that it's just her normal allergies and to continue with the Zyrtec and to add some over the counter cough stuff. Wow, I could've told ya that but I wanted to just make sure because had I not taken her, I'm sure it would've been worse. That's how it usually goes right??
On an even brighter note, I scheduled all of my vacation days! I basically have off every Friday off through the end of the year starting next week! I threw in a couple of Mondays and other days too since some Fridays were already holidays. Yay!!

Mondays suck
I have a sick girl at home...AGAIN! I'm taking her to the doctor this afternoon. She coughed ALL night last night and is so sore and horse today. I know she has bad bad allergies but this is getting ridiculous!!
My boss tells me today to go ahead and put my remaining vacation days (whenever I decide what to take) on the group calendar and consider them all approved! whohoooo! I have 8 1/2 days left to schedule! Then I realized that next year is my 5th year with this company so I get an additional 5 days of vacation as of Jan 1st! Oh then she tells me she's going to be on vacation for the next 2 weeks...saweeeet!
Hmm, nothing else exciting going on really so I thought I'd share a couple pictures of Maddie. She's grown quite a bit!! From 11 pounds to 40 pounds in the 4 months we've had her!!! She's battled having Demodex which causes hair loss and other issues so that's why she's lost so much of the black hair color, it's grown back in a lot lighter as you can see on her head. She's doing so much better now :) She was looking pretty bad there for awhile. I'm glad Miranda picked her at the shelter and we nursed her through all that because someone else might not have.

Pictures from Halloween 2008
Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween. Miranda had a great time!
Let me explain Miranda's costume. It was the Mad Hatter but she didn't want to wear the hat. I told her she looked like a waitress with just the dress on so we decided to punk it up a bit and she then went as a Punk Waitress!!
Here are a couple pictures from her parade at school. I included one of her old teacher, Mr. Hottie who went as Charlie Brown, it was very creative LOL

Since I had been out of town all week we didn't get a chance to do her pumpkin so she did it all by herself. I think it turned out great!

We really punked her out for the evening. We did a ponytail mohawk and sprayed it pink and also with glitter. We met up with friends to do trick or treating too. She got a pretty good stash of candy!
