Some Favorite Old Pictures

Thank god for digital cameras huh??? I was just going through a bunch of pictures on my computer and only grabbed a handful to share with you. There are MANY more and maybe I'll do more posts later with more pictures but for now, here are some of my cuties!!

Baseball Update

I have had a request (thank you Grandma Rose) to give an update on Kyler's baseball season. Well we started off winning like crazy then it's not so much that way anymore LOL Poor kids are playing their hearts out but it's just not going in our favor. Our record now is 4 wins, 7 losses.

Kyler's dad bought him a new bat a few games into the season and the first night he hit with it, he got an in the park homerun! I was so proud of him! Now he's on a strike out streak. I think he just wants to kill the ball so bad and over thinks it. He had a couple really great hits last night finally though.

We have games 3 nights a week, usually on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are either from 6-8 or from 8-10. Not that it matters since we usually find ourselves at the ball field for all 4 hours watching whatever game is being played. He of course has friends on every team and I totally enjoy watching all the games and cheering on all my 'sons'. Yes, all his friends call me Mom, I love it.

Fun fun weekend

Friday night the kids and I had a family date night. We went to the T-Bones minor league baseball game. We had awesome seats, first row right by the dugout and first base.

Kyler got a game ball too!

Sunday we had a girls day out! Miranda and I along with two of her friends and their moms went and got pedicures then went to lunch.

We've got color!!

YES! I finally found time to paint the upper part of the walls in the bathroom!!! The color is Blue Mood and it is a little bit darker than it really appears. Next on my list is to purchase the beadboard wall stuff, put the plywood floor down, install the beadboard and lay the vinyl tiles. I found a picture online of what the beadboard looks like in case you don't know. I think it will look really good with the blue above it don't you???

My how the years have flown by

So my 20 yr reunion is just around the corner...July 17-19 weekend. I seriously can't believe it's been 20 yrs since highschool. The best thing is that I have kept in touch with quite a few people and now with MySpace and email and other methods, I have reconnected with so many more people. I dug up some pictures that I thought would be fun to share!

Its the neverending bathroom remodel

Ugh I swear, this is taking FOREVER!!!! So the purty pictures I posted a week ago well...they look about the same. Last week the walls got the texture treatment done on them then last Friday night I did a coat of primer. Well...as I was going around the walls, I looked back and a lot of the wall paper I couldn't scrape off before having the texture done was now happily coming off. So I had a ton to peel off which left my poor walls with huge nice smooth sections which don't play nice with the nice texture sections. Mama wasn't a happy girl...ugh. Not only that but I thought the texture would help cover the lovely black glue goop that was on the lower half of the walls, well of course, that didn't work out for me either. Back to the original plan I go....I'm going to put up white beadboard around the lower portion and just paint the upper portion. My friend was nice enough to come back and do a second texture on the walls so now they look the way they were supposed to!!! I am going to buy the paint within the next couple days and get that done then also hopefully get the plywood floor down this weekend. Wish me luck!!!
