Proud Mom

I know Miranda is only in 4th grade but I'm still damn proud of her. I was going through her backpack yesterday and there was a notice about an awards ceremony on Friday so I asked her if she was going to be getting anything. She casually said 'I don't know but I got this letter to give to you'. It was a letter about the Kansas State Assessment tests that they take every year. Well my little Mini Me is going to be receiving not one but two awards tomorrow. She is getting an Exemplary award for Reading which is the highest award as well as an Exceeds Standard award for Math which is the second highest award. Here are the definitions -

Exemplary - Student is accurately working at grade level and understands the material completely and is able to relate it to other materials.

Exceeds Standard - Student is working at grade level and perform ace is consistent and accurate. Student understands material completely.

I'm going to sneak over to the awards ceremony and snap a couple of pictures :)
PS for Jess and Tabitha - go to here for adult footie jammies :)
