Game Day

There he is, the handsome boy, on his first middle school basketball game day. He's played ball for years but this is the first year for any sport that is for the school. He tried out and made the team as I had mentioned before. The team is required to dress up (he picked this out) on game days which I think is pretty cool. It shows that they have pride in being a player on the team. They are required to keep their grades up as well as keeping their hair cut short (which I love because some of those boys look ridiculous with that long scraggly hair). I can't wait to take pictures and post them tonight or tomorrow. GO PANTHERS!!!

Very nice. I love the idea that they keep an eye on the boys grades and make them show respect to the game by looking good and dressing nice.
GOOD LUCK PANTHERS!!!!!
Hope both of your kids are feeling better.

Love basketball! So fast paced and fun to watch. I think it's awesome when a coach encourages the athletes to look nice on game day. Our HS did this and I am happy they still enforce that rule. I hope he wins! YEAH!

He looks so handsome. Good for them wanting to instill pride in the players.

I tried responding a lot earlier today to say Good luck in the game, but the computer wouldn't allow the comments box to pop up...not sure what was wrong (might have been because I was at work and it was secretly telling me to get off and WORK). LOL

he looks great! I know you're proud...and teary...and sentimental...and all that Mom of a growing boy kind of stuff. I would be, too!
