Befores and Afters of my House

I bought my house in July of 2007. It took me a long time to even decide to look at it but once I did, I fell in love and totally saw the potential it had. I closed on the house and then didn't move in for two weeks to allow time to do everything I wanted to do to it. Which as you can see in the pictures was quite a bit! I had some great friends to help with some of it but for the most part, it was all me!!

Ok let's start with probably the biggest project. The gawd awful laundry room!! It was this green color that was horrid. Love the tile? NOT!! I went with a darker gray on the walls since there are so many windows I knew I could get away with it. Then I went with a really dark grey vinyl tile too. Trimmed it out in white including the cabinet to really make it stand out nice.

The kitchen was that same lovely shade of green...it was gross!!! Oh and it had three layers of a border too. That was so much fun to remove!

My room was a nice baby blue *puke* color to begin with.

Miranda's room was so not fun. Dark wood paneling in the entire room. She hated it!! So two coats of primer and two coats of pink paint on the walls and white paint on the trim and doors, she kinda digs it.

Kyler's room just needed the border taken down, a fresh coat of paint and dark blue curtains.

Kyler's bath was gross. Nasty wallpaper and gross floor. I textured the walls, kept the black tile, laid new vinyl tile and a funky shower curtain.

Here is the living/dining room area. Originally all white walls and floral curtains UGH. I painted the walls, painted an accent wall, got new furniture and pictures.

As I have shown in other posts, I'm redoing another bath for Miranda and just redid the entry way. The only other room I haven't touched in the house is my bathroom but you know what....the weekend is here, maybe I'll get crazy and paint my bath LOL
