Whew what a weekend!

I tell ya, when it's Roots Festival weekend in this little town I live in, the entire town and then some are there!!!

Miranda got an air brush tattoo of a gecko on her ankle

Just like the real tattoo her mama has on her ankle hehe

Friday night Jess and Brad came down. We sat in our lawn chairs and had some adult beverages while listening to some music. We wandered around the vendor booths, sampled some yummy BBQ, talked, laughed...you name it. Was lots of fun!! I think I got home at 1am!
I am the queen of self portraits

Saturday (after I finally rolled outta bed about 11), my ex dropped the kids off so they could go ahead and spend the day there with me cuz he had other things to do. It was another long hot day but overall we had a really good time. I held off on the adult beverages until the evening but then the jello shots came out...EEK! I am not a shot person but I had a few of them. I had a blast sitting with Jen and her friends.

This doesn't need a caption really...now does it?

Today I am being a total BUM! But I do have laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping to do...blah. Oh and I gotta get caught up on blogs :)

Sounds like fun! If you can think about all the things you have to do, you must not have had too many jello shooters...LOL!!

Hello, found you "Blogs Around the World" and thought I'd stop in and say howdy. I see you are located south of KC, I'm located not to far from KC in a town called Warrensburg, MO. I loved looking at all your pictures. You have a lovely site. Hope you have a wonderful evening.

Sounds like a nice weekend. We went to Reno to visit my aunt and her family. Also got to see some old friends. It was nice and relaxing. Wish I could've clicked my heels to get to and from though. Wasn't in the mood for a road trip.
